Is it better to feed your carpet shark meat from the grocery store or the local butcher?

@chellychell Butcher meat and grocery store meat is usually from the same slaughterhouses. No difference really unless they are sourcing their own meat from local farms / sources.

I have a question about the soup, I don't eat meat so I only have what my hubby and kids eat and from the chicken it's the breasts they typically buy. Is that ok to sub in for the thighs in the soup or should I pick up a pack of thighs for the ferrets?

The breast meat is considered too lean, so thighs would definitely be recommended. Make sure that it is completely unseasoned, doesn't contain any saline/tenderizer solution, etc.

You debone for the soup and use either human grade bonemeal powder or ground up eggshells instead
