The new girls are doing well, both are eating soupies, Luna I have to spoon feed her so she gets in about 1 tablespoom before she has had enough. Honey is low of hearing, I would not say she is 100% deaf but she only responds to deep noises, she is scared of my husbands voice he was talking to her and she fraught to get away and she fear bit, hard on his hand, I am not sure if it's because he is male or just cause of his deep voice, he was great though didn't pull away, let me carefully remove her, I gave her some reassurance a little salmon oil and put her back down in the play area. Then tended to his hand, she got him good. She is super sweet and showed no signs of aggression before this at all. Luna is warming up a bit she has def attached herself to me, she is deaf for sure. She is scary as about 70% of the time you go to wake her, she is in dead sleep. She will come out of the cage and wander around if only Honey is out, so I give Honey and Luna time out to play without the other 5. Luna is getting Rescue Remedy every morning and her eyes are not as sad as they were, she is also exploring a little more but is still much happier being in the cage. My other girl LouLou always goes in and cuddles with Luna and Jack seems to like to go in there and fall asleep with Luna as well. The girls are still in their own cage until Luna is more accepting, if she does come around at some point. Luna's gunky eye is also clearing up very nicely. It didn't weep last night at all. I have been carefully wiping it down with a mild saline solution and it's looking much better. Luna just loves to curl up with me and her fur is so long and thick, I could just sit there and pet her for hours. I will update again soon.

Thank Goodness, you rescued those two sweet girls. I'm glad to hear that they are already beginning to settle in and feel better. I'm looking forward to hearing that they are feeling secure and running and playing with your others. That was a wonderful thing that you did, and you have my utmost respect and admiration. All my best wishes to your business and the two newest girls Luna and Honey. Stef

I know! I am so proud of her, it's amazing what a few days can do. Now to help her feel more secure out in the open and with the other 5.

I have absolute faith in her given the progress she's made already. There's almost nothing a little patience and love can't do to help ferrets. They are so resilient and have indomitable spirits.

Luna and Honey are undeniably cute! Nothing is better then swooping in and giving a fuzzy the life it deserves. Congratulations and I hope they both continue to settle in well.

So update on the girls! They are both doing well on their own but are still having issues with socialization, 2 of my boys are really wanting to play and say hi, but as soon as they go near Luna and Honey they start screaming, not being touched just being near. The girls just seem to be so scared of Cyrano and Jagger and it is really odd. I may have to change my temp 2 cage set up to a permanent one, right now the girls are just in a half cage, going to have to put the other levels in if they don't start accepting the boys. The vet visit went well, they appear to both be healthy and nothing came back in their blood work. Which is a relief. Anyway they are now on full raw eating slivers, diced and soup. They both love egg yolk and salmon oil. Here are a few updated pics. Honey Now Luna Rolling Around, Look at that big tummy Luna eating with Milo

I'm so glad that they are doing so well. They look so healthy now. It may take some time for them to stop being afraid of the boys. Try some parallel play. Sit on the floor with some blankets and let the girls watch you. Use a teaser toy and get everyone involved.
We're going on seven months with Keller and she still won't play with Wynstan, but she tolerates him.

Luna and Honey are still adjusting, they eat their meat like they grew up on it, right up to chunks now, they seem to have an issue with bone so cleaning their teeth and supplementing them with eggshell. Both the girls were out last night with the other 5, Luna even did a little war dance. The others are pretty much at the point of leaving them alone, Cyrano and Jagger still want to play alot harder than the girls do. Luna even climbed into the others cage and cube Honey climbed through the whole big cage and checked it out, with a little more patience I think they will all become friends soon, we are 50% of the way there. Honey and Luna have both gained a good pound of weight a piece since I got them, super thrilled about that! New pics to come soon.
