Okay, so I know I have asked a lot of questions about toothpaste for ferrets (giggle).....And as a result a lot of ferret owners on here will recommend me C.E.T. toothpaste for a ferret (rescue for example) that would need immediate care if they happened to have bad teeth. However, upon investigating these ingredients I found out that the first ingredient is sorbitol! Which is a sugary type of alcohol....And I read that alcohol is dangerous for any kind of pet to digest, and it is even more dangerous in their dental gel. It has come to my memory just now, but I have found a dental gel made for cats and dogs. So if it's safe for cats then I wold assume it is safe for ferrets. I'll post the link to the product. It is also free of alcohol and 100% organic. www.natural-wonder-pets.com/dog-dental.html#ingredientsYes, stevia is one of the ingredients. But it doesn't raise blood sugar, which is good in the case of dogs and ferrets. And yes, stevia has been known to be a controversial ingredient, however I found this article about it. Link is posted below. wholenewmom.com/health-concerns/is-stevia-safe-is-stevia-bad-for-you-stevia-infertility/I know raw bones clean teeth. Of course, I plan to give this to my rescue ferrets (whenever the time comes that I adopt them) but I know that weaning ferrets to raw (especially when they're an adult) can be hard. So in the meantime I thought that it would be good to have some kind of gel until then.
