@jdomian funny that you mention baby pictures, I took maybe 4 or 5 of Domino as I didn't realize how quickly he would grow, so now I have at least 50 of Elwood!

Great pics. A DSLR has been on my wish list for years. Elwood is about the coolest looking ferret ever.

unclejoe I actually got mine on Amazon. It's entry level, the Canon Rebel XS, but it came with a bunch of accessories for $500 back in 2010. Amazon is really good for that kind stuff

Great pics! It is sad, I have more pics of my ferrets and torts than my children... But it is true (with fur/shell/skin kids) they grow up WAY too fast!

$500 is what I've seen but way too much money right now.

Cute pictures I have a Nikon D7000, I think it was about $800, worth every penny, love the quality of pictures it takes. Perfect for when the ferts do the deformed pig war dance, lol.

Desiree @julesalot I definitely need to upgrade my lens, but I have no clue where to even start. Do you guys have any suggestions? I mostly use my camera on cars, scenery, fixed objects. I want to be able to take nighttime shots, it just falls short... Picks up on all the light pollution.

Unfortunately I specifically bought my second lens for the purpose of taking shots for my hedgehogs. I needed something with a good zoom because the shutter sound scares them. I can get amazingly close almost macro styled shots from six feet away. Then I got the standard lens that came with my camera. I'd say you are looking for a prime lens for night time shots. explore-lenses.usa.canon.com/prime-lens.html - Something like these maybe?

Sorry, my father chose the camera and buys and does everything for it, I just use it (hehe). I have a couple different lenses, I know mine has a hard time focusing sometimes, and the built-in flash on mine isn't the best for close-ups, there is always a shadow.

@elenners, beautiful babies of course and good pictures, but you REALLY need to cover those ramps!

gfountain I had to take the ramp covers off because Elwood was chewing them, I am replacing the ramps with tubing this weekend.
