So basically I forgot to treat the cats for fleas and then of course the ferrets were infested! A dawn bath got them all off and then I used Sentry fiproguard (replacing frontline topspot) on the cats and the ferrets with no bad reactions! The ferrets don't have fleas on them but they are still in their litter box? I used borax all over the place as a powder to kill them and then vaccumed everything and I haven't seen them on the floor but only in their litter box no matter how much I change it. They don't even have towels in their cage right now just the hammock because I don't want fleas all over them! Eskimo is still scratching but no signs of fleas on him and chubbz is just fine without scratching... Eskimo had it worse so maybe he's just itching from the old bites? I'm thinking of just bombing the entire basement to get rid of them but is that a smart idea? Something I can do to finally get rid of them? Anything appreciated! ****edit***
Just checked and found a flea on chubbz can't find any on Eskimo. Please help!

We had to bomb the ferret room a couple months ago. We used advantage. I guess it worked, but we combined that with advantage drops on all the fuzzies and washing every stitch of fabric they ever slept in, including what was in drawers and other sleeping ares. We were ready to give up on the advantage drops because it seemed like they stopped working for a while.

this is going to sound silly but maybe some two sided tape on the inside edge of the litter box might help to collect all the pesky fleas that are in there, and just stay on top of vacuuming daily one or two times very thoroughly and keep your vac outside, maybe a flea comb would help for the kitties and ferts
just remember it takes about 2 weeks for fleas eggs to hatch (im pretty sure its 2 weeks) to make sure you stay on top of everything for at least 2 weeks and you should not have any more after that, also if you have a dehumidifier that works wonders as fleas multiply faster in humid areas! good luck!
