Can you tie it to the cage? Zip ties if she won't chew them or a small chain which can't be chewed. Clamps? That would make me nervous too! Those little ferts are so darn smart. Little devils

Artemis is certainly a smart little girl and a typical female. She wants to rearrange things. Have you seen those computer zip ties: www.officedepot.com/a/products/845479/StarTechcom-6in-Nylon-Cable-Ties-Pkg/I would use those and tie the shelf safely on and then cut the leftover pieces off, so she doesn't chew on them. You could also use those garbage bag wire ties. Secure it safely though, we don't want here falling. Have you covered those wire shelfs. You can pull a tube sock over the ramps and wrap a towel or some material over the bigger shelves. I have a cage similar to yours and while mine are free roam, I'm keeping Keller in it at night. She isn't fully intro'd to Roamy and Juliet yet. I've read alot of cases where their little feet can get caught in between the wire on the shelves.

thank you for the advice ladies! ill probably have to try one or two things, unfortunately i cannot put any material in her cage yet or sadly she will devour it, she hardly uses the ramps and generally if she does shes not in a hurry but other than that i dont see any other places for her little toes to really get caught. the shelves i have are basically the same as a ferret nation, with the plastic trays so thankfully its much easier on her little feets!

If she doesn't use the ramps, take them out of the cage. Better to be safe than sorry!
