This mornings meal was chicken necks/backs, a half of one, he's been sleepy all day since he had it, he hasn't even begged to come out to play... (which is good cause i've been out and so busy!). But I noticed he's still got a little bit of the back bone (i think), in his bed with him. And his poop in his litter box today is very liquid and very white almost.... Is this normal?

Aww, he took his meatz to bed with him. He will most likely gnaw on it through the night. Poop is very funky throughout the switch. Although very liquid and white is not any kind of normal poop, it's not necessarily unusual. They can run the gamut from liquid to formed to seedy to mucousy, from white to yellow to brown to green. My little Minnie (the one who was nicknamed the 'Eating Machine' on the forum) had explosive diarrhea for a solid week. Once his system gets used to the new food, you'll start getting 'normal' raw poops. Normal is... well... different for every meal. Just go ahead and get the vision of kibble poops out of your head because raw poops are waayyyy different. For now, just make a note of what he ate and what the poops were like, as well as activity level. If he's acting OK, I wouldn't worry about the funky poop just yet. And as far as being tired, everyone says that raw-fed ferrets have more energy and stamina, but I found with Slinkee (my boy) that the raw food made him tired in the beginning. He would almost gorge himself and then have to sleep it off. It wasn't until maybe his third week on raw that the energy boost began.

He did gnaw on it all night, he liked taking it to bed with him!
He definitely was somewhat tired, he didn't even beg to come out and play, he was too busy laying in bed with his meat, or later eating the meat... and still not wanting to come out. I think it must have made him tired from gorging himself on it... He was definitely off. And as far as the poop goes, he's still very active, just like usual, so I'm not worried about the poop color, it's just a very odd color! Haha, I'll never get the visions of kibble fed food out of my mind... I have to clean it daily at work!
