I got some of the hollings bone meal and they don't like it! Plus I didn't realise it was cooked sterilised stuff so I'm not too bothered that they don't like it! It smells really odd and coats all the food in crunchy bits! So that's for the bin I'm afraid, still nothing ventured nothing gained! Instead I am going down the powdered egg shells route and have got some powdered bone on order from the USA. I do get meat from the supermarket now that I know I can make up the bone content as that was concerning me. I'm adding about a teaspoon of the egg shells to some mince as it soaks right in and they can't tell it's there! And I'm going to get them some grown on chickens and see hiw they get on with those! It's taken me sometime to get their diet sorted with what they do and don't like and get suppliers for some things but I reckon I'm nearly there now and it's soo worth it for their health. I can see how lots of people give up and go onto kibble for ease and convenience, but I've never been one to do things the easy way! All I need to do now is get them to actually use the litter trays dotted all around the house rather than next to them and we will be laughing! Anyone any ideas on that? I've put down blankets and food bowls in all the places that they go that litter trays won't fit, behind the doors etc! Litter trays in all the places I can, that I keep a little but of soaked poo in, spraying Deterent in all the places that they have been that they shouldn't and giving them treats whenever they do use the trays, keeping them in one room when they first wake up and watching that they go go in the tray, but I'm still greeted by the odd surprise and they still go beside the tray in the kitchen! *I've got nice big square high sided trays with a mix of wood pellets and non clumping aloe Vera granules.

dont give up on the bonemeal !! mix it in just add a tiny pinch to begin with they wont notice its there ! the sterilized meat and bonemeal is full of marrow and is totally balanced they will turn up there noses to begin with its something new you can also mix it with a little oil ( on there food or use it as a tooth paste for cleaning teeth !) the crunchy bits are ground down natural bone which they need egg shells are fine but are not balanced like the bonemeal take care bye for now Bev
