Should I buy buy wing or bulk thigh for my 13? they eat both but it seems like the thigh is more meat than bone. I've looked at their poos since giving them both and it is noticeable but I can't tell if they need more bone. In the future I can buy both but I'm only buying one bulk item this time.

If you have access to ground egg shell or bone meal, it may be easier to go with thigh. You can supplement the thigh with calcium by dusting the meat with a bit of the shell/bone powder, I read somebody else on the forum does this. On the other hand, you can't supplement wing with more meat without having more meat, de-boning wings is a lot more work than de-boning thighs, and if they had too much calcium it might be hard on their digestion.

It really depends on the rest of your menu. Do you need more bone-in meat or more muscle meat to balance with everything else?

And dusting muscle meat with eggshell or bonemeal should only be a temporary fix. They need the benefits of real bone.

I have bone meal still I picked it up when my 8 backtracked to soup only. I was feeding neck to my 5 but I noticed their poos were very boney so I tried wings. As a menu for my 5 I posted it on happy day for my 8 in diet transitions. I have a pack of wings I bought to see how the 8 like them they are the group I'm trying to make a balanced menu for. Even on the thighs their poos are not runny. You can see a little bone but the rest is still formed poo.

Thighs are great for the soupie stage. Wings are great for Bone In meals. Remember bones are the Non Weight bearing bones. I use wings, quail and cornish game hen for Bone In meals.
For muscle meats, aside from Hearts which should be one meal (not counting the half meal with organs), I like to use pork, beef (high in Vitamin B and Iron) turkey and chicken or duck gizzards to help with cleaning teeth and building jaw strength.
So, I think on the Frankenprey menu, you will do better to get chicken wings for Bone In meals and that way, you can use some other proteins for Muscle meat meals.
