Day number 2 and I've noticed that Kaiju seems to be a grazer. She doesn't seem to eat a lot in one go but just pick at her food throughout the day. Could this be due to her previous kibble habits? I thought she would be eating a lot more than she currently is. Right now her eating pace is one meal in the morning and one in the evening. She eats most of it but not everything...I was expecting to have to give her at least 3 meals a day at that age...I've signed up for a mentor to help guide me through raw feeding but just wanted to check if she's eating enough. Should I sit with her and promt her more or continue to let her graze? Thanks

Loki just turned 5 months and after eating two 4 oz meals a day is down to between 5-6 ozs of raw a day. He eats one big meal usually and then picks at the rest.

Haggis & Neeps vary what they eat daily - sometimes they would munch an entire chick wing each half that day or sometimes they stash it and just nibble it over a day. I sometimes have to delay one of their 2 daily meals & they will have finished by the next meal - it seems to depend on the weather, how active they have been that day, time of year and what they have eaten a day or two before. I have noticed they eat less for a couple of days if I have given them something fatty like pork belly chunks - which they adore Hope this helps

My kit brats have just hit the 4 month age and have slowed down considerably....good thing or I'd have had the only 5 lbs jill My wee girlies are still eating more than their momma Lola but have dropped considerable amounts to what they're eating. They're also becoming more polecat in their habit too. They only eat at night or in the early morning (around 4 or 5 am)....they basically sleep all day. The major growth stage is now over, they don't need the huge amounts they were eating. I'm still weighing weekly and so should anyone who's switching. If they're maintaining their weight then they're eating the right amounts for their size and gender ciao

Heather she is only 9 weeks which is why im a bit concerned. She is eating but I thought because of her age she would be eating a lot more! I'm going to weigh her tomorrow and keep a food journal so I can monitor it for when she goes to the vet. Luckily its an exotic animal vet who specialise in ferrets and small animals so I'm not going to get a vet lecture on raw feeding! (Already checked)! Lol
