I'm hoping they weren't wrong and she is in fact ok (aside from being underweight). The more experienced ferrants would have some better input as far as any other health concerns. It is quite possible that the people you got her from are simply covering up a neglected ferret.

At this point id wait till the fecal tests are done to rule out contagious parasites. What were they feeding her? I know of a rescue that was skinny like yours that was being fed frosted flakes.

Yes, Advantage Multi for Cats (5-9 lbs size) is the one recently FDA approved for ferrets.
Best of luck to Cinnamon!

I did a rescue, just before Halloween several years ago that involved 2 ferrets. Houdinin and Shazam. I was told to get there before the end of the weekend because they wanted the ferrets out. I told them I'd pick them up on Sunday, after a show. When I picked them up I found 2 of the most painfully thin ferrets I'd ever seen. I was afraid I would break them when I picked them up. They felt like loose fur with bones in it. As I was leaving I asked about food. The mother asked the daughter to get the bag of kibbles. She handed me this empty bag that showed various coloured kibbles that also had whole pieces of corn, raisins and seeds. I remarked that the bag was empty did they not have something that the ferrets were eating. The mother seemed to be surprised and the daughter then said ..... I told you on Tues that the bag was empty. You told me not to worry that someone was coming to get them not to bother to get any more food. These poor ferrets had not had any new food since Tues. There was no kibble pieces in the cage. I was so angry I just walked out and took the little ones home. I didn't trust myself to not say something that might endanger the little ones. They were lucky to be alive, really. So, yes...you've really got to wonder about people ciao

Fingers crossed it is only TLC and food she needs. The antibiotic *could* have been a "just in case" thing. Vets have done that before if they think something might be wrong but can't figure it out. I gather a full blood panel was done as well?
