Hi Sherry. Well, as my grandmother used to say, I am a day late and a dollar short. Here is the overview for the week of August 31st - September 6th.
Made soup yesterday. Going to make slivers today. I will be updating my initial summary to include pics of Lily. My trip was good. Convention at the Grand Floridian at Disney World. Didn't have to fly this year. Not much time for relaxing. Went from 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 - 10:00 p.m. every night. But the food was amazing! And here is the view from my balcony:
Think that's about it for right now. Hope all is well with you. Annette

Hi Sherry. See below for Monday's update. As you can see, bad habits resurfaced. Did better today with weighing the meals, but as you will see the ferts also slipped and ate less. Looks like we have some ground to gain back. Also still need to do more poop tracking...which poops belong to what ferret. (LOL).

Okay. Sorry I am just getting back to this now. Glad to see BC's poops are back to normal. What size are the slivers you are using? Are they really tiny, as in not much larger than ground? You may need to pop a few in her mouth so she starts to recognize them. Miss P appears to be having issues with poorly digested food(seedy appearance). Is this type of stool normal for her? Or is it basically a one off? For these two ladies I think maybe getting some ground chicken would work better. It is easier to mash into the puree to get them used to texture. If you can't access it keep on with the slivers though. They will get there. With Max, start him with more slivers in his soup if he will take them. In fact I'd try increasing to at least 1/4 of the meal. Lily, just keep at her with the spoon feeding and as she accepts it move her to eating from the dish.

Hi Sherry. See below for the 9/3 update. Now to answer your questions: See below for a pic of the slivers. I froze the meat (beef, chicken, pork, and turkey), used a cheese grater (largest size) to make the slivers, and then froze the slivers in 1/2 ounce portions in an ice cube tray:
Is there a way to make them smaller? I will stop by the store tomorrow and get some ground chicken as well. About Miss P's poop. To be honest, I am not sure. Half the time I am not sure which poop belongs to what ferret. The past couple of days I have been letting then out of the cage one at a time, hoping each one would poop so I could get a pic of it. Like tonight, I didn't see her poop. Annette

Oops meant to comment on BC's poop. I am worried about her. I am going to try to post from work tomorrow to explain why.

You can't get them much smaller than a grater. And what a great idea!!! I semi defrosted and used a knife
