Where you can't sit down or take care of household chores because your ferrets are more determined than normal to get into trouble? Nixxie is getting on the kitchen counter, we can't figure out how because he was made every ferret proofing attempt to stop her, and she is smart enough not to be caught in the act. (She has been more bold and daring since her "big adventure". Nax well, I have lost track of everything he has done today all in the name of trying ot get attention. I literally had to hold him on my lap while eating dinner. Otherwise he was climbing up our legs. He also taught Gilly how to get into the little trash can I keep by my computer today. It is now sitting on my desk *sigh* Let's not even mention the challenge of trying to get cleaners out from under the sink while fighting back ferrets who don't understand why they can't investigate an unknown place. While cooking dinner Gilly was completely underfoot. I dropped a slice of potato on the ground and she dove for it. Of course I am yelling no as I stop her before she has a chance to take a bite, and my husband is just laughing at me because of how many times I have had to say the word no today. (screwu) Well, I got my revenge. (well the ferrets did) He is trying to play his game on the computer and Nixxie and Nax keep climbing up his leg and and running over his keyboard. I think both the humans and ferrets are going to crash hard tonight. They have deffenitly kept me on my toes today, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Life would be so boring without them.

OK, for all my complaint earlier, I got the best gift in the world today. Gilly laughing while I was playing with her. I have heard Nixxie laugh while playing with Nax but not like this. Gilly kept going and and going. And to know that I was the one making her laugh was just added bonus. Sorry, just had to share!

They really can get worked up more on some days then others. And then when they learn something new of course they have to teach it to everyone else

Sometimes you have to put your well-made plans on hold for a few minutes and just get on the floor with them. Usually when I do, they're done in 10 minutes. If they are fired up and I don't play, they can be PITAs, like you said, for hours. And for me, cleaning and procrastinating go very well together, lol. For major cleaning, they go in the cage anyway. We use a steam cleaner on our hard surfaced floors and can't have them around that or the vacuum. Plus, we have to pick up al the newspapers to clean floors, and if they aren't in the cage, someone will poop in a clean area before we replace the papers, every time!

No fail on the poop, every single time lol. I just hate caging them when they are that full of energy if I don't have to.

Mine were like that yesterday. I'm making an area in the basement for them to play in since its nice and cool down there and all I was doing was sweeping up ferrets with the broom. (headwall)

Of course, today, they are all mellow. I tried to play with Nax a few minutes ago, and her was all "I am doing my own thing investigating the closet, leave me alone."
