They LOVE duck. Wow. They took to the duck gizzards immediately even though they've never had them before! And it looks like they're okay eating larger chunks now, I just need to get them started by feed each of them once piece, then they get more confident to eat on their own. I'm really really happy about this. ^^
I'm thinking about getting them a couple of frozen mice from the pet store to see how they like them. Is there a specific size you'd recommend? I would prefer not to have to chop up the mice. So it might be better to wait until they're readily eating mouse-sized chunks, right?

That might be a good idea, but you never know with these guys. Get 'em a small one and give it a try! You might have to cut it open a little. Buzzy had never seen one before and he gobbled it up! LOL

Progress!! My mom gave me some chicken breast bone (with some meat still stuck on it) and I decided to hang it from the ceiling of the cage. They actually started viciously eating it! A huge piece! I got a video, I'll be uploading it soon because I was so impressed with my precious babies tearing bits off such a large piece. My picky one, Jack is actually the one who started attacking it! EEEEE
I'll grab some mice from the store when my mom is away on vacation because she would have a problem with it otherwise hahah.

Hello! Little update. They are still eating very well, energy level is amazing... but their poops are still very liquidy and dark. Am I doing something wrong?

The poops will improve with time. You can use some probiotics if you want. Wysong has some good ones and so does Mercola.

Ok here's a link to the poop photo: www.dropbox.com/s/rfd2mrp2cvwrl1d/poop.pngThe dark one is a little dried up but you can see that it comes out of them very liquidy. The lighter one came from Alice, not sure why hers are lighter in colour but equally watery. I can see some bone shards in there as well, I think that's normal. In the last two days they have eaten pork meat, duck wings and chicken hearts. But their poops have looked similar to this ever since the soupy stage.

Nothing unusual there. I would continue as you are. You're doing very well.

It's good to hear the poops are normal. I just weighed them today: Jack: 800 g (20 g loss) Jill: 930 g (10 g gain) Alice: 910 g (10 g loss) I also gave them some raw egg yesterday after wrongly measuring for a recipe They seemed to enjoy it, especially Alice!

Raw egg's good for them. If you have an asian market near you, try quail eggs.

I did some more shopping because I was low on organs and hearts. This time I decided to get some whole quail and see how they like it! Since they've been pretty good with eating large chunks, I wanted to see how they would do with whole chicken wings and maybe even a whole quail without me cutting it up for them. If it doesn't work out, I'll chop em up before serving. We'll see. Fingers crossed
