I'm going to look at some photo editing software and will play around with the photos. I certainly can't have my Wynstan, cut in half. (giggle)

That looks much better. I tried loading it, and I'm still seeing Half of Wynstan. I clicked on my link and did everything the same. (?)

Can you download it to your computer from there? If you can, do that, then upload it to your photobucket again.

I had issues also when I was trying to resize mine. It keep going back to the last image. I actually had to delete the wrong one. Save it. Then go back and paste the correct one. Then it worked.

How about this... go to this link and find the picture that says stefscopy-1. You should be able to download it from there.

Well, I went to your photobucket and even reduced the length size. I erased my signature, checked to see that it was gone and went back and reloaded the new pictures. It still looks the same. I'm going to leave it, like it is and come back to it, a little later. Thanks again for all your help. I just keep seeing little elves in the computer and they are sighing and repasting, repasting and repasting my pictures...

It looks better than it did earlier, it still is trying to cut off poor Wynstan, but only the end of his tail this time and not half of his body (dance) I had the same problem too, Stef, and leaving it and coming back seemed to help. Maybe the elves will get tired of messing with you... On a side note, I just love reading your switching thread... You and Kat are so wonderful and I am happy she is my mentor!

Not sure if this will help or not, but I know of a nice little program called Paint.net That is its actual name; not its website... it is sort of like a basic freeware version of Photoshop. While PS does a lot of cool stuff, Paint.net has all the cool basic features and offers the ability to download and install Plugins to make it do more. www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html <<-- the actual download page. DO NOT CLICK on the big GREEN DOWNLOAD button!! That is just a stupid advertisement to get you to download something else you likely don't need or don't want! Instead look at the top right corner for the download link; which should give you a ZIP file that you can then download, unzip and install the program. www.getpaint.net/features.html <<-- Program Features forums.getpaint.net/ <<--- their message board with lots of cool tips and tricks. Oh, and one more thing... I do not know much about how to use it, I've just used it for a coupe simple projects in the past. I know it is cool photo editing software, and that its free... and it does a lot of cool stuff that Photoshop does! Other then that, I can't provide much other help on it! Thats what their message board is for!

Maybe I missed something, but I'm trying to get a picture in my signature. I have the photo in photobucket and am pasting the direct link into the signature field but all I see when I'm done is the actual text of the link, not the picture. Does that make sense?

Yes, in photobucket, click on the fourth option down, labeled "IMG". The link you paste in (if you click the tab to see "BBCode" on your post window), the link you paste should start with "[URL=" or "[img src="

This is an old thread but I really wanted to reply to it anyway <u< (Someone may have already bet me to it though, but oh well~) Signatures are pretty easy. The best ideal size for an image would be around 600 x 250 pixels. It can be edited in pretty much any photo editor, including photoshop or online such as picmonkey. I'll show an example on picmonkey since alot of people cannot handle my photoshop ramblings hahaha. ;A; I'll post a small picmonkey tutorial on the bottom. Anyway, Its pretty easy to upload a photo. You don't necessarily have to even use photobucket. You could use any image hosting website. Examples; postimage.org tinypic.com If you have the image uploaded to another website like lets say, Facebook or Tumblr. Thats no problem either! Just go to your image and then right click on it. Copy the image address, or image location or what ever. Example should look something like this. 40.media.tumblr.com/81af74b1687b8d4040c4ee7d96b0035f/tumblr_nuedcjcIFH1udtjfmo1_1280.jpgThats basically its direct URL. Then you take that and put it in the INSERT DIRECT LINK below. Between the and the [/img] However, make sure that the image you're using the direct link for is at 600 x 250 or around that size. You can also use the direct link in thread posts too. In thread posts, you can edit the over sized image by simply reducing the 100% down to like 50% or 30%. I'll have an example below. Here's a template. (Take away that space though) [ img ] INSERT DIRECT LINK[/img] Or you can have one that redirects to where ever. Like for example mine that goes to my blog. [ url= INSERT LINK ] [ img ] INSERT DIRECT LINK[/img][/url]
