Curious about the experiences of others with insulinomic ferrets. What was the level you considered your ferret to be stable at? That is, when s/he was medicated and feeling well. I know it's probably different depending on stage of the disease, age of the ferret, adjustment to lower BG, what meds they're on, etc.
Just curious because we went to the vet today and Maximus is at 55. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't higher given that the diazoxide seems to have him feeling so much better, but the vet says that as long as he feels OK then that means the meds are working and that's just what is normal for him right now.

Willow's normal these days appears to be in the high twenties, low 30's. And that only with a LOT of work. However, as I mentioned before she now has lymphoma, which is wreaking havoc on her.

Her belly is too big with the pred now. She tries from time to time but it just doesn't work. But- she still enjoys toddling about and exploring, as well as her meals and her snuggles
