Is there any other type of female ferret? All female ferrets seem to be feisty at some point in their lives. Cassia is and probably always will be feisty.

Mission Accomplished! Trip went extremely well. She dug all of the litter out of the box in the travel cage. I'm letting her get used to her new cage. I was told that she will make a mess of it. I will post more pics of the shelter visit in a bit. Thank you, all of you crazy ferret people!

Initial intros so far: Jaffa and Yoshi seemed like they wanted to go after her, just because she's a new face. I didn't let it get out of control, but I put Jaff back in the cage because he can be a huge bully to newcomers. She has gone after Smokie and Abita. At first, Smokie followed her around for a bit and I thought they were cool. She had a half hour to sniff around. Now she's in the cage until the others go back to bed. She seems to be quite the drama queen, like Prissy, but she invaded Prissy's bed, and Prissy sdidn't bite her head off. It was Rosa who started squealing. This will be fun!
I let Jaffa out, and he's searching for Rosa. I had her in my arms and showed her to him, and he poofed on me. I'm glad Dar and I both have tomorrow off so we can referee.
I don't think she's really mean, but she just needs time to adjust and to be with other ferrets. She had a long trip and she seemed pretty shaky when I first brought her in. I gave her 20 minutes in the cage to calm down, then 20 more to explore. Tomorrow will be the first real test, and we will monitor them at all times.
She's sleeping now, 10 minutes after being put in the cage. I'll leave her be until Dar gets home from work.

I'm so glad for you, Dar, AND Rosa that everything worked out and she is now home. Hopefully, once she settles in, everyone will get along and she'll realize that this is the last home she'll ever have to adjust to.

She's had a chance to rest, and now she and all the others are out, and so far, no more fights, just a hiss or 2 when Jaffa cornered her, but now he's had his treats and soup. Rosa woke Alice up in a drawer and there was no fighting. I'm really not worried about Pandy.

Day 2: Intros so far have been so-so. Rosa has made it clear that she needs her space, at least for now. There have been a couple incidents, but it is Rosa who starts them and does all the screaming. She is such a drama queen. This morning she bit Yoshi on his head, just for sniffing her, and he was so upset that I swear he cried on his way to hide in a tunnel. I've honestly never heard a ferret make that sound before. And he was shaking like you do when you cry. Jaffa gave up and walked away dejected after she yelled at him, too. So far only Abita and Pandy have not been told off. I'm hoping she gets on with Abita, at least, because they have similar energy levels. She's still adjusting. Getting a bath before going to her new home Exploring Checking out the downstairs
