I am noticing a trend. whenever I give my ferrets liver, they get loose poop, Really loose. This morning there was squirts everywhere. all over the blankets all along the side of the cage. I am wondering if this is normal and if I should feed liver with something else to alleviate this.
They did eat all the liver I gave them though which is a win, because it is not there favorite.

I will try and find some brain or kidney. So far I can't find them at any of my butchers and supermarkets. I don't know about your butcher, but the brains are frozen in a 16 oz sour cream type container. Sometimes it helps just to know alternate packaging methods.

Liver or organ poops are the worst. I would try splitting your organ meal with a bone meal. This will help solid up the squirty poops. Feed a bone meal before your organ meal and after if you don't want to split your organ meal up ciao

I agree. If they are that loose I would combine it with something else for the interim. Once they are used to it you might be able to feed alone.

I got myself a whiteboard from the dollar store. I put the menu plan for the week on the left and on the right I put what I have on available in the freezer this allows me to pull the meat out of the freezer the night before so it can thaw.
