I gave them pork chunks for the breakfast, it's been out for about 1 hour. Baylis ate few bigger (1,5cm) chunks, Oscar and Nyx haven't touched it yet. I will wait another hour then mix it with the mince. Maybe, just maybe they will be hungry enough to eat it before i put it in the mince. Today is one month without a kibble , yes! they are looking great! They are all so fluffy, they hair islooking so much healthier and better! Nyx had a really big stomach (problem with her big spleen), it looks like her stomach is little bit smaller and not so hard on touch (don't know how to explain on english, but i hope you'll understand. I hate to use google translator...) they all lost some weight in this month but not too much. I think it's normal b/c of the diet change, warmer weather, longer days.... they are active and playful as usual, except Nyx, she's more active for the last 1-2 months. They are really doing great, and i know i should relax a little bit about all this, this diet change is been more stressful for me then to them... (shy) edit: i had to put pork chunks and stripes in the mince, they didn't want to eat them alone...

I've had a couple with enlarged spleens, seems to happen as a result of a lot of ferret issues. that would be good news if Nyx's is shrinking. Did they eat the pork once you put it into the mince? Keep going away and trying it that way, offer it first, then the mince, a little hunger can be a good motivator. And pat yourself on the back, you are doing great and so are they.

thank you Tiffany, alot they do eat pork, rabbit and lamb chunks and stripes in the mince. they don't have a problem with that. i'm still trying to give them alone, no luck so far. Oscar take a piece here and then, Baylis is eating, mostly stashing, but Nyx only licking the mince, sometimes she catches some chunk. i started to feed her on the spoon, then she catches more pieces and have to chew. i'm going tomorrow to the vet with her for cleaning her teeth. i'm brushing them once in a 2 weeks, but there's still some plaque on her back teeth, i'm affraid her gums will be more redish if i brush them often, and there was some problems with her gums when she was on immunosuppressives... Ok well if they eating it in the mince fine, start adding less mince to the mix, no huge changes, just little by little. Hope all goes smoothly with Nyx at the vet.

She's perfect, like nothing happened yesterday. They all ate rabbit chunks with mince, i put less mince but little bit more warm water. They ate fine and i left them leftovers in the cage edit: gave them rabbit meat stripes with the mince for dinner (more stripes then mince), Nyx ate a lot, almost whole bowl. Oscar ate it too, and Baylis chose meat in bone. Baylis's problem is only liver, she won't eat it alone, only in the mince. Once when she starts to eat the liver, i could make a weekly menu plan for her

Really crazy day at work today... no changes today, besides they got lamb brain in the mince for breakfast. Dinner was a rabbit stripes with small amount of mince. It went great, brain was really hit for them

Quick recovery that's good to hear she is already back to normal. Just keep sneaking some liver in the mince and it won't take too long before they should be able to eat it alone. They are doing awesome! Keep moving down in the amount of mince vs chunks, don't increase chunk size too much at this point but we want them to get to eating just chunks, no mince needed.

I put them some heart and liver chunks in the mince, they ate just a little bit. I will put it in the cage without the meat chunks. They will be hungry eventually and eat it, they need to get used to that taste. I'll watch them, if they won't eat in 2-3 hours, i will give them something else. Keep fingers crossed

I waited a bit more, they were sleeping. I will give them some lamb meat in the mince for dinner, and will try with liver and hearts again in the morning..

nothing new, no luck with liver and hearts today...will keep trying.
Nyx 985g Baylis 775g Oscar 1875g
i barely see Baylis eating, she's obviously picking stashed meat cause her weight is fine, she even gained some weight. she rarely eats fresh meat with the mince that i'm giving them twice a day. should i try to give her something else? i'm looking for stashed meat every day and throw it away, but this morning she pulled out two more pieces, i don't know where it was hidden! LOL little stealer... <3

i was at work today, so i left them hearts and liver, and also put mince with chunks,in case they don't want to eat liver. of course, they didn't eat is there any other way to make them eat liver? they only eat it minced with the rabbit.
