Frankly I'd move from the syringe now to the finger. We need to syringe feed our girl with insu several times a day. Some if those feedings involve syringe fed chicken baby food. And in spite of te fact she now loves it- she will NOT take it from the dish or spoon. She will only take it from the syringe.

Lulu is starting to enjoy the soupies. She licks off the plates now. 6 out of 7 are eating it now. Just Mikah won't. She sure is a bullhead. I have a question about Emmett. a while back I gave him some raw chicken slivers and he loved it. Can I give him some gizzard slivers or will that be to much muscle meat cause he still eats the soupies? Probably should wait seeing how Thanksgiving day will first be week they are eating the soupies.... You all have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

I am going to try some on all the kids then. I noticed that Group 1 (George, Miko, Penelope,& Lulu) I am not filling the kibble dishes as much (not nearly) as before, so I am thinking the only one eating kibble is Lulu yet. which makes me concerned the others aren't eating enough. The ones eating the soupies seem to really pig out in the mornings. They get soupies at night too, but don't eat as much. The other group (Coco, Emmett Mikah still eat kibble. Emmett not so much tho' as Coco & Lulu.
Thank you sooo much for answering all my questions, offering advice and taking the time to help me. I really appreciate all this help like you wouldn't believe.

If they were still hungry they'd eat the kibble, never fear on that count It seems more likely they are filling up on soup then.

Emmett ate almost 1/2 oz chicken on his own. I think that is pretty good since he went to eat it himself. Then he was going to stash the rest. The rest are doing the same as usual. George threw up his food this morning and a little in the afternoon. So he went to the vet. Vet check poop and throw up. Said he thought it came from stress. He told me about the raw feeding and salmonella etc... I think he did figure out I wasn't buying it... He did give me some Bene-Bac gel and said we should give him a gram. I think his pooper looked funny from the raw. Otherwise all is going good. Mikah is still a blockhead.

This morning I mixed some little chunks of chicken with the soupies. Miko ate some and Penelope did too. Lulu is still on the spoon. George licked some plain soupies. Should I take Georges Arch and boiled chicken completely away from him? I am going to take 2 of the 3 kibble dishes out of Group 1's cage so I can keep better track of how much kibble they are eating. I think Lulu is the only one now.
Emmett also ate the the chunky stuff. Coco licked a little and Mikah is still the little bullhead.
Should I keep them on chicken yet or can I start offering different types of meat -soupie or chunks. Please let me know if I am trying to move this along to fast for them.

Until they are off the soup keep them on the same protein for now. For Emmet, Miko and Penelope keep slowly increasing the number of slivers(make them about the size of the crescent on your pinkie nail) as they accept what they have. With George start slowly mixing the raw puree into his mush. You may have to dab the nose with each increase, but he'll get there. Coco finger feed and then spoon feed. With Mikah dab his nose with a taste of the puree every 5-10 minutes while they are out.

WooHoo. (dance) I mixed Mikah some salmon oil and soupies together and she ate it!!! George likes it out of his saucer. I gave Emmett a chicken wing tip and he didn't seem to want it. I am going to try Coco with the salmon oil also. I didn't realize the like it and figured it out by rubbing it on the tummies for cutting nails....

Can I leave the soupies with the little chunks in the cage over night and/or during the day? I have seen Miko, Penelope eating the kibble and I imagine George is too if they get hungry. Lulu is doing better with the soupies nut still isn't eating a lot of it. I did leave some in Emmett, Coco and Mikah cage cause I knew Emmett would eat it. Coco seems to be going a little backwards with the soupies and Mikah is doing pretty good. Should I take the kibble out of the cages completely?

Definitely try leaving it in there. See how they do with it. However, if you have some who refuse to eat enough on their own, either you are going to have to have the kibble in at least a couple times a day with those ones(shut the others out for 30 minutes so they can't get to it), or hand feed the reluctant ones soup.

I put some soupies in the cages last night. I did see George eat. Not sure about Penelope and Miko, but they ate good before bed. Lulu (headwall)on the other.... She licked at it real good off the spoon. I waited 45 minutes before I put the kibble back in. As soon as I did, Lulu had been sleeping the whole time, BAM she was woke up and ate kibble. I have the soupies the thickness of unset pudding, maybe that is to thick yet. The rest in that cage are eating with really small chunks now. I also put some in Emmett, Coco & Mikah cage. I knew Emmett would eat. Coco seems to be going a little backwards now. Mikah is getting there. She's been hanging around the dish, but won't eat on her own. Coco needs coaxing. I (how can I explain this so it comes out the right way)... will hold him by the scruff while he is on the floor, put some in his mouth, then he licks the spoon. I have to have my hand around/over him like an arch or he treis to run away. If I keep my hand there he keeps licking. My plan now is to take the kibble out during the day and offer Lulu, Coco & Mikah soupies a few times. At night put the kibble back in. Does that sound okay? Am I supposed to be weighing what each one is eating or does that happen when they are all off the soupies? Sorry about all the questions. I'm really trying not to get frustrated.... Ferrets are just as block headed as little kids sometimes!!

It sounds like they are all doing really well- even your stubborn ones As for what you are presently doing with Coco, I have had a few like that. I honestly think it's that they feel more secure with the hand there. Definitely give the kibble back at night for now.

We are all doing good so far. I found Lulu likes EVOO and have been mixing some in her soupies. Emmett is eating just chicken and soupies too. I have been putting the kibble in the cages during the day and at night too to make sure Lulu, Mikah and Coco are getting enough to eat.I wait about 45 minutes to an hour after they are back in to put the kibble in.
Tonight(Friday) will be interesting. I work and their Dad is going to feed them. I have a page full of instructions and each of their foods labeled. The only thing I don't like is Lulu sleeps most of the time in the cage and she won't have food till he gets them up. He sleeps till about 6:30 - 7:00, (3rd shifter). I hope that won't be to long. She doesn't have insolinuma, so she should be fine.
I am really happy with how they are doing!!
