Oh...that explains why someone keeps "stashing" their food next to the litter box...s/he is actually trying to hoard that darned food for them self! LOL little rascals!

Haha Koda likes to stash in the litter box too. >_< Among other places. Faithful little Kenai puts everything nicely back in the feeding den for me.

Thanks, nice to know that I can leave some meals in for longer. I was worried I would have to leave dry (kibble) in during the day to stop them being hungry while I'm out.

Not at all Lucrezia actually used to poop on the food when she was a baby so the others wouldn't touch it,

That answers a few questions I have. Thor, keeps going potty in the corner near his food dishes. I have a flat dish, that I put his mice and/or chicks on. He drags it into the corner with his poop. I have been trying to get him to use his litter box. He was trained when I got him. If I clean the area. He just goes back and marks it again. Now I know what is going on. I hate to clean the food dish/tray after he sets it in his poop.

That is how wild weasels cover up the scent of their food so another doesn't find and steal it. It literally is a survival mechanism.

My boys sometimes like to take their food to the litter tray and eat it in there lol I have given up putting wings, drums and chicks in a bowl they are out in the few seconds they are in the bowl when putting them in the cage then the ferts run about and stash them fav places are in their den/bed area or under the ramp on ¨he bottom of the hutch lol. Mine like stashing toys and pooping in the same corner & peeing, I have just realised each of them has a fav corner - they are claiming certain toys are theirs

Wow, food stashing and marking so their cage mates don't eat it, I do the same with my family! Haha TBH the pictures and even holding or skinning or washing dead animals or raw meat doesn't bother me at all, but the smell does. So I've got my head in my shirt trying not to throw up when I'm pulling the skin off of the chicken leg... lol

My bf is a baby when their soup has been in the cage for like two hrs and he will take it out and start gagging like he is dying... So mommy is the one who prepairs all the food and feeds them

Lol I hate the texture of liver when portioning it I use scissors as its quicker and I think beef or pork mince smells the worst again portioned quickly and in the freezer for the ferts I am not squeamish at all have seen animals operated on can chop up meat its just certain raw meaty smells hate though I even hate the smell of beef mince browning when making Bolognese:) Though worst smell for me is fish or hot toasted cheddar cheese both make me nauseous but I will still cook and eat them. When doing the fish for the ferts I wash my hands loads afterwards so I can't smell fish on them. I do the same for me when doing tuna sandwiches which I love

Yes I also hate fish. It's not that I find any of the actual food nasty, it's just the smell that makes me gag. I too have watched surgeries of animals and have no problem, but then when they pull out the uterus and tell me to examine it, I hold my breath... haha
