She's probably busy. She was on here the other day. Breeders are hard people to nail down. ciao

Have you checked out her website? I would assume it would have some info about her adoption contract and whatnot.

Yes, that's originally where I got her contact info. I'm not sure if it's been updated recently, and I don't see anything specific about contracts, just that she mentions having to sign an agreement that states you will not alter until 6 months of age. On her website she mentioned that she placed her jill, Poprocks, with a beautifully stunning champagne hob with a possible litter in mid june. I'm hoping the mating was successful and the kits survived, because I would LOVE a kit from this pairing. Plus, the other litter she had in May only had one hob, who looks to be already taken, so I would have to wait until next season for a kit from her, unless she has a jill that would she would be okay with me having.
As Heather said, I'm sure she's busy as well, I'm just being a tad paranoid lol

Yeah, my Nibbler doesn't smell at all. Nor does he act 'gross'. After his implant.

I'm sure Nancy won't consider you a stalker But also make sure she knows you've applied to the des forum as well, as she doesn't always think to check there.

Well I have tons of good news After some mix up earlier this week, I was finally able to get an email to go through to Nancy. My browser has been acting up lately, so as it turns out she wasn't ignoring me or anything, my email just didn't go through! I sent her another email yesterday and got a response. She has one remaining jill who she feels would be a good fit with Javik and me. She said she's only had problems with jills going home to homes that already have an established female in the group, but since this jill will very likely be my only female, it shouldn't be a problem. I will be getting her implanted once December rolls around. I honestly have absolutely no problem with becoming friends with Nancy, and I have already made friends with many people in the ferret community. I really, truly love how tight knit this community is. I have her added on FB already, so she can get updates as I post them about the jill...and I do post about Javik A LOT so she can expect to see the jill very frequently I did notice that her and Mikey still communicate as well which I feel is fantastic. Oh, in case I didn't mention, my jill is Finn's niece she's a fine point sable and Nancy says she expects her to look exactly like her father during the winter. I keep saying she's "my jill", but Nancy and I are still talking, so I'm not sure if things have been confirmed or are still being decided yet, but I really hope I get to take her home soon >_<

Yes, Hobs Stink. To high heaven. My Zydeco is stinky. It is his first rut. I can hardly stand to sit in my living room. I keep telling hubby, I'm going put him out on the deck till he's done. He pooped the odor went the whole way to the bedroom. I don't have the greasyness. Or aggressiveness. I have the opposite. He constantly wants held and cuddled. He likes to rub his face on me. I guess I'm the lucky one. LOL. He is OK in his cage no problems there. I have 2 little girls. He doesn't bother them. I have been using daily ferret spritz. But only a short while. I need gallons. I spray his bedding. He hides his food box. Sleeps in litter. He doesn't bite. Wants constant attention. Acts like his feelings are hurt, pouts if he don't get it. Of course it may be me, I spoil him. What can I use to control the order? I pray no one comes to the house, I am so embarrassed by the smell. Zydee is about 4 1/2 lb. None of my other males smelled this strong.

The only way to get rid of the odour is neutering, or chemical neutering. As in a des implant. Hoping you can hold out til he is at least 9m old. And watch him closely with the other ferrets. Sounds like he's not yet in full rut. Once he is, you will likely have to separate as he can do serious damage to the girls.

I wiped Rocky down with unscented baby wipes every so often when he was in rut last year; it helped freshen him up a bit without subjecting him to baths. All my clothes still got to smelling like hob, though.
