Just saw some mucus in my ferrets poop, what does this mean? I don't know which one but i assume my 1 year old since it was small, hes been having small poops lately. I was wondering about that, if he were to still be eating normally, and has small poops what does that mean? Is it really bad? What are the signs for a blockage?

iam switching him from marshalls to wysong archetypal 1, doing a little over a 1-4 ratio now. however once i get the epigen 90 ill switch to that because the archetypal 1 is more like a powder, not kibble

Okay, it could well be from the diet switch then the more freeze dried raw he eats, the less stool he'll have.

yeah but theres more of the marshalls than wysong, and the baby is eating the same amount and poops 3 times as much. no really, i just woke up and theres 3 HUGE poops, and i know they were the babies (their poops look different)
is this bad?

Reading back through this- is he by chance shedding right now, or even his friend? Fur in pop will also cause mucous.

he was but i think hes mostly done with his summer shead, might darken a little more, but he looks like how he did when i bought him which was in august. a few months ago his face was almost all white. i actually found a few poops today that were normal sized and didnt look like it came from the baby. idk.

Maybe he still has some fur in there yet. Might be an idea to give him some pumpkin to push it through if there is.

Yes, just a can of plain pumpkin. Not the pie filling, although they'll be in the same place. The ingredients list will just say pumpkin. Give him a tsp of it. He might take it plain. If not, then add a bit of oil and warm it very slightly.
