I'm sorry- I've not only been coming off cigarettes and having side effects from the Champix, but have been sick as a dog this last couple of days. Between the three my head hasn't been as clear as it should be and I'd somehow missed your posts It sounds like they are doing well! If you can get this one, it's good from what I've heard. I had trouble getting it in Canada when I needed it: www.newchapter.com/probiotics/probiotic-all-floraI think you can start adding in slivers of meat now as well. I actually use ground meat for this part of it. Makes my life simpler Add in just a little and mix it really well. As they accept that, increase amounts. You also need to work at getting them away from hand feeding as well now. Start by lowering the spoon to the dish and as they are licking out of it move the spoon away exposing the soup underneath. Odds are they'll take a lick or two and look for the spoon. Just keep doing this again and again until they'll take it directly from the dish. You can also start by not having them on your lap, but on the floor instead.

Oh, I'll feel better soon. The problem with the Champix is it destroys sleep patterns, so I keep waking up all might and I'm tired all day. 8 more weeks and I'll be finished! Do you know this last 4 weeks is the longest I've been nicotine free in 45 years? ?? Other quit attempts have always been with NRT's. Obviously didn't work so well (yeah, I'm proud of that fact. Being nicotine free, that is! ) Anyways! Since you are a few steps ahead of me, get them working at taking it from the dish as well as increasing the number of slivers. They can have an unbalanced diet for up to about 6 months with few ill effects What you are going to be aiming for this week is getting them eating independently. Once they will do that you can ditch any kibble entirely to see how well they do. You are also going to be increasing their slivers, as well as the size of a few of those once you get them to about 1/2 slivers and 1/2 what they are now eating for a soup. Let me know how they do!

Yes, I'm getting them. But depending on what's happening don't always have time to reply immediately So far, so good! Keep working with Gus to get him eating on his own. Will he take a full meal when hand fed? What I'm getting at is whether or not he's willing to sit and eat more than a lick or two, or if it's just that he doesn't want it from the dish yet? With Miss Pixie, try offering her some slivers just topped with a bit of soup, see how she does. You can also try Waffles with it as well. Sometimes they actually do wind up jumping ahead during the switching process.

I wasn't sure it was working..... I didn't think you should respond immediately and am Sorry (shy) if it seemed like I was being that way...... I in know way trying to disrespect you..........I just wasn't sure ......
I have not been able to get the New Chapter Probiotic All-Flora. Once I get it how much do they get and do I give it to them daily? Do I give it to them every meal?
Gus eats about a 1/4 of the ounce I give him and then I have to coax him to eat the rest ..... I catch him licking from the plate in the cage sometime .... But it is only a few licks and then he quits....... He does NOT eat a full meal unless I feed it to him .... and like I said.... I have to coax about 3/4 of the ounce-_-*...... sometimes I give him and 1 1/2 and it is still the same thing.... tonight their soup had egg yolk in it and he ate almost 1/2 on his own and then I had to feed him the rest ...... IDK... He is a toughie.... I thought he would be the easiest and Pixie would be the hardest..... LOL.....
I don't think I will have a problem with Pixie eating more meat ..... Waffle will eat it if the chunks are not to big.... she eats daintily and had a small mouth...... IDK if that matters...... but she doesn't like big chunks and will spit them out ..... I still have to feed her about a 1/4 of her food cause she quits on me....
Thanks for all your help..... again... sorry to offend you.......

No offense taken As for mouth size- 3-4 week old kits eat whole meats She's being a fuss pot, With Gus, try sitting on the floor with him. Set him on the floor in front of the dish. If he doesn't start eating immediately offer him a small taste(either finger or spoon), and "lead" his mouth to the dish until he starts licking from there. Keep doing this every time he stops eating. Remember- just give a taste or two and keep leading his mouth back down to the dish.

Pixie is now eating her ounce in her cage by herself. I have thickened it and she is taking some time to get use to it, so I thought I would go back to what she is use to and thicken it slowly.
Waffle will eat about 1/2 the ounce off the plate , then I need to show the spoon to finish. She will eat off the plate without being held.
Gus is having a hard time with all this (headwall) . He doesn't want to eat it unless I spoon feed him and he gives me a hard time about eating. I get him to eat the ounce, but it is sometimes a struggle to get him to eat at all. I hope he gets it and takes to it on his own.
I have stopped the pumpkin completely unless I have an emergency and it needs to be used. I am giving them an egg yolk between the three of them every other day. I am not sure if they should get on yolk a piece or if what I am doing is ok.
Hope all I well with you.

What you are doing with the yolk is fine You don't want to give enough to fill them up on that instead With Gus have you tried sitting on the floor with him? What got Boris eating it was to have them all eating out of the dish together. I kept putting him up to the dish and kept my hand on his back to prevent him from running off. This *might* work for Gus.

I have upped there chicken chunk sizes and amount they are getting...... it is now about half and half
I am guesstimating the amount Gus is eating for two meals. Gus will eat off the plate with the girls, but is not fond of me feeding him. The problem is, he takes a few licks, and then walks away. so I have been letting him eat one of two meals like that but I feed him one meal of at least and ounce of food.
As for Waffle, I am guesstimating her also. She eats better than Gus, but doesn't want to eat a whole ounce on her own. so I do the same for her. Two meals in the cage, one meal I make sure she gets at least an ounce if not more of food.
Pixie I do not have to worry about, she eats good. Although I notice she has lost some weight so not sure about that. What do you think?
I am not sure if I am doing this right...... I am kinda guesstimating at this whole thing..... I am not sure if I should be making sure they get an ounce of food 3 times a day or if the once a day is enough....... do they need a ounce per meal? what if they are eating less? and how do I know they are getting enough when they eat on there own. Gus only wants to eat off the same plate as the girls eat so it is hard to tell exact amounts and Waffle doesn't always want to eat a whole ounce.... sometimes it's only a half ...... IDK..... I am just confussed

You are doing just fine And right now I'd not be surprised if they are eating much less. My small girls are eating between 1-2 oz per day right now, not per meal Personally I think I'd be cutting down what you are giving them. Even just cut to two meals a day. Feed one if you prefer, but then just start leaving the slivers in there other wise. You need to start weaning them completely off the soup. Try offering just the slivers topped with soup like a gravy. And leave them to eat it.
