A $100 for xrays and a check up is a really good price. I basically pay $100 for xrays, so you've got a good price ciao

Ok i will make an appointment.Today he peed him self, looks like there is blockage in the urinary track, this could be either adrenal or stones, that's my thinking.he doesn't scream or be extremely in pain but he is quite lethargic and he doesn't wanna play.If he is having stones or swollen prostate will the x rays show anything?

GOOOOD I AM SOO PISSED!!!!i went to the vet today and he performed a physical examination and an uranalisys.can you imagine what he diagnosed?......that my ferret is obese!!!!!!!which is freaking wrong!!!i told him about the enlarged spleen and he told that its not an enlaarged spleen.my god!!!!how can he be so unexperienced in ferrets? I amntrying to guide him and he is nooooot helping.his diagnose was wrong for 2 reasons: 1) it is quite impossible to gain 400 grams in two months a ferret with IBD 2) only one part of his body looks enlarged and thats possibly the spleen. I am going to post some pictures of my ferret to see what i am talking about. The uranalisis didnt show anything and also he didnt tell me to do xrays.i feel like i paid 60 dollars for nothing i have to search other vets cause this vet is not a real exotic vet i dont even know why he wants to be called an exotic veterinerian....

I'm sorry that you got no satisfaction. You mention obese.....I'm wondering is your wee one pear shaped? Very narrow at the top and widens out. One side or both? Pictures would indeed be beneficial. We're not vets here so we are of course only guessing. Somehow obesity in an IBD ferret does indeed seem to be wrong but....a heart condition causing a build up of fluids doesn't. It's just a thought ciao

When you take the pictures of your ferret, hold him up under the two front legs so he hangs down(just temporarily) and take the pictures from the front. That will show if he is only enlarged on the one side quite clearly.

Do you know of any ferret rescues anywhere near you? They might be able to refer you to a vet who at least has an idea of what he's doing.
