Bomber is staying the night at the e-vet. He reopened the wound where his nail was ripped out. Couldn't stop the bleeding. He lost a lot. But the vet thinks he is going to be ok. Please pray for my boy. Still very freaked out. Need to calm down. It was really bad. Blood everywhere. Just glad he is with the vet now.

Thank you Sherry. And it wasn't just scary, it was terrifying. He lost so much blood. It was all over me and Matt. He bit me a few times really good and I was bleeding too. I am still shaking and nauseous. This has all been a nightmare. Has to be one of the worst nights of my life, it was worse than the night Daemeon had his first crash.

Thanks a lot hon. Yes, the vet was able to cauterize it and he's going to be on fluids the rest of the night. It would've been better if he could have seen us sooner, but it was after hours and I was having issues getting through! We tried to get it to clot with flour and tried to wrap it, but it was not working at all. He's lucky he didn't go into shock. I was lucky I came in there right when it started, I was in there giving Salem some medicine and saw blood droplets on the floor. I didn't see him do it, but he started bleeding profusely. I grabbed a towel, trying to use pressure to stop the flow. No go. Called the vet. They said to try flour and wrap it. Nope. Called the vet again, then we had to go meet the vet and wait until he got there. Bad bad bad night. Really bad. But hopefully he will be fine in the morning and can come home. I feel so terrible.

Nails bleed so bad! My b/f called me the other day when I was at work because his dad nicked the quick on their little mutt, who's like his baby and they were both freaking out trying to figure out what to use to stop it and I guess his dad was really worried about the amount of blood the poor dog was throwing everywhere. Two grown men, having a heart attack over a 3 pound fluffy mutt. Thankfully that was a lot less serious and stopped with a few minutes of pressure, I suggested flour too and that didn't work for them either, they didn't have any cornstarch.

Praying for little Bomber. Nail bleeds are so scary especially in smaller animals.

Yikes. I know how scary that can be. Koda almost ripped his nail off once. It is insane how much blood comes out. And that was just from breaking the nail down it's length, not actually ripping out. It looked like a massacre. So I can just imagine how much poor little Bomber had from actually ripping it out then reopening it! I am glad you got him in on time, and I will be thinking about him. Give him a hug from me when he comes home! And a big hug to you too! What a scary night! *huuuuuugggssss*

OH no - that sounds horrible. I am so sorry you had to go through that. I'm saying a prayer for Bomber. Take some rescue remedy yourself and see if it helps calm you down.
