Classic mounting behaviour for adrenal

I've been trying to get one of Sinnead, but of course the little butthead stops when she knows I'm watching It's usually only bad a few days before her lupron is due as well.

Here is some more info. on ferret mountig behavior and mating behavior:

Ferrets are not classic "humpers" (like dogs). They may do some humping (slower activity than one might expect) when attempting to achieve penetration. But once penetration has been achieved , the two ferrets remain coupled and very still. This can go one for hours because the male drips semen over time.

Although this is uncommon, neutered males have been know to miss their intended target and exploit the alternative location. Since ferrets have a penile bone (os pens) with a curved tip, owners of sexually aggressive males should inspect potential recipients of such behavior (both female and male) for injury and or prolapse.

Females may also exhibit mounting behavior as is demonstrated in SherryLynne's video.

Also note that not all "riding" behavior is sexual aggression. My girls loved to scruff and ride on my big boy's back for fun - just like playing he "drag the towel" game. The difference between the intent of the activity is easily recognized. WHen sexually behavior is involved, the scuff is intense and aggressive the aggressor ill "latch on and be very reluctant to let go. The ferret will be attempting to tuck the pelvis forward. In contrast, a ferret that is simply playing will have a light-hearted attitude. the hind legs will be extended back and/or to the side. The back will be flat with no attempt to tuck the pelvis under.

Actually, starting a new one might be a good idea. That way, we can focus on the specifics of what's happening with YOUR ferrets.

I am a little bit worried about my Hurley as he goes after my 2 girls a lot. During the chase it looks really playful and they are both hopping about but when he catches them he gets on top of them, scruffs and drags. Sometimes he shakes his head while he's scruffing them. The girls will make whimpering noises and occasionally louder squeaks when he gets too rough.

He doesn't sit on top of them and be still really, he does a lot of crocodile rolling and dragging. He has done this since he was a kit and he was neutered in January.

Does this sound like he's just playing but slightly too rough?

I had asked previously what humping would look like, as I wondered if Lincoln might be Adrenal. After the first video Sherry posted, I was convinced he was just playing. After the second video, I'm a bit worried.

He only goes after Riley. I had seen him and Booth jump on each other and "ride" around that way, but with Riley it seems a bit different.

Lincoln will jump on her, with his pelvic area about mid back or a little lower. Then he just sits there, not doing anything at all (no humping motion, no noise, no licking or biting), and Riley also just lays there. Occasionally she'll start trying to get out from under him, but then he starts to bite her though not by the scruff. When she gets away, he chases her and jumps on her again doing the same thing.

The reason I'm not too worried, is that he never does it in their cage. They never fight in their cage, so I figure if it was Adrenal he would break the rules and do this in the cage as well. Does this sound playful or sexual?

Ya. I actually witnessed him humping just a few minutes ago...He's barely 2 years old
Guess it's time to call the vet tomorrow.
